It feels like everywhere you look there is trouble in this world. There is famine and there is fighting! Sadly, this really isn’t anything new.
Matthew 24v6: “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
Jesus foretold of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem and the Roman occupation of 70AD. Today we look at the Middle East and there seems more trouble than ever! There are various end time views on how things will unfold.
My intention today is not to unwrap or develop all these ideas as time does not permit. However, I do want to share this thought:
There is a day coming where this world will end. We are told that heaven and earth will pass away.
Should we fear? Well, we should certainly be prepared! We must be found in Christ, believing and trusting in Him. This world is not your final destination. The scriptures teach us of a literal heaven and a literal hell. To be saved we must believe on The Lord Jesus Christ.
I recently read a humorous comment about end times: A husband said to his wife “I just don’t understand eschatology” (end times theology). She replied, “Don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world!”
The book of Revelation is not written for us to be worried sick and hide away. Rather, it teaches us to prepare and share Gods message with the world.
We do not know what tomorrow may bring. However, we do know who holds tomorrow in His hand. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If we trust Him, no matter what lies around the corner, we will be found safe in Christ.
Every blessing, love in Christ
